Now let’s go out with a bang…
Nothing less than a 1978 Opel Kadett C Berlina (plush trim level) four-door sedan!
The end (with the exception of one outtake).
This is a wonderful wild array of vehicles ! .
I spent as much time looking at the background vehicles .
Please keep these show reports coming .

That is an interesting show, so many familiar cars though the badging varies we have most of those Opels but they wear Vauxhall or Holden brand names and fewer Alfas, Citroens we do have but they dont appear much at the local shows I attend,
Pugs and Benz cars, are here in good numbers often ex JDM, easy to spot those if you read the rego labels, DAFs? not that size, truck shows often have DAFs Ive only seen DAF cars in a museum, though Volvo DAFs have been seen in the wild.
Love the variety of your selections. The roof and greenhouse of the Peugeot 104, may have influenced the later Talbot Horizon. They appear very similar.
Had the same thought and was surprised to find out the 104 debuted in 1972, 6 years before the Horizon, which latter coincided with Chrysler Europe getting sold to Peugeot, so that nixes any notion of the Horizon deriving from the 104 in any way. It seems likely that stylist Roy Axe must have taken some inspiration from the 104 in designing the Horizon.
The Kadett C hatch is close to a US Chevette but for some reason the styling looks so much better. In 4 door form it looks far less interesting; is that because it’s a sedan, or just more familiar to me as it shares its shape with the US market Isuzu/Opels?
I’ve never been a huge GT6 fan, but in dark green and with Minilite-style wheels it looks great. Nor do I usually get excited about 403’s, but I like this one a lot.
Finally, the Volvo 544 may be a 1964 but it’s wearing the slotted silver wheels that debuted in its final year of 1965. The 122S (Amazon) lurking behind the yellow Opel carries 1964-style wheels and hubcaps with bizarre aftermarket trim rings.
Another great set of photos Mr Dutch, some familiar, some less so. The Audi 60 two door got my attention I’m intrigued buy early Audis. I had a Dyane of the same model in the late eighties in orange followed by a couple of 2CVs. Nice to see cars that look used .
Another early 70’s Alfa, so nice. Ford Escort, so bland. Mercedes, well being Mercedes. Same goes for VW.
Citroen, so strange. Makes me think of Joseph Dennis talking about being sartorial and Thunderbird. We are talking French here. Did they lose the plot? Fashion, cuisine, and then Citroen.
Great selection, I would take just about any of these. The ’65 Opel Kadett is the L model. Slightly different front end from the more common base model, pretty rare in the US. Not quite sure why the bothered offering both. I had one of each.
Edit-The US version did not have the swept back roof line of this coupe but did have the front clip. So actually 3 body styles for this model. Strange.
Actually the coupe was available in the US. A friend of mine in HS had one. But they were rather uncommon.
More goodies! Where to start? Love the juxtaposition of the Citroen ID and the H van. The Dodge A108 Camp Wagon is what I really wanted back then instead of my A100.
My godfather had an Audi S90, same basic car as the 60 but the hottest engine. Took a day trip with him in it in 1969. Nice car.
I owned a faded and tired dark blue 403, but never got around to getting it on the road. That’s one of my regrets.
A lovely bunch, I particularly like the GT6, and the widened steel wheels on the Celica.
There is obviously not only a Bunkie Beak but also a Bentley Beak. Looks strage, that bird – but I like it.
“…strange..” of course.
Keep on trucking!
Always liked that generation of Giulietta, so that, the Giulia Sprint, 403 and 4280SEL please. I’m not greedy, so will pass on the ID – holding out for a DS reallly!
Interesting to see a second-gen Giulietta, which we never got in America. If you look closely, you can see how its passenger cell including the doors were retained for its successor, the 75 (aka Milano in the American market).
