The Commentariat made short work of our last clue, with Mr. Edward Mann guessing an Olds Diesel on the first try. Well, that is a pretty distinctive hood ornament, and memorable to many of us Midwesterners–we loved Oldsmobiles! I think I still have one of those hood ornaments in my collection somewhere…
Tomorrow’s car was a real find for me, as it really pressed my buttons. And it was red and white, which only added to my endearment. So what is it?
1979-89 Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford LTD Crown Victoria
I second that.
I agree, the trim reminds of my 78 lincoln
Me too.
I’ll add that I think its the rare 1983-86 Grand Marquis two-door sedan.
I was thinking early M body- Dippy Salon or Lebaron
Chrysler R Body (’79-’81)?
I say ’77-’86 B-body Pontiac
I think on of the other b-body GM cars looks like Caprice/Impala 4-door
No idea, but I’ll bet it leaks.
78 Galaxie
That belt line kick-up has to be Pontiac, so some type of b-body. I’m guessing a Parisienne or full size Bonneville. The red on gray seems a little loud for an 80’s model so pre-1981 I’d guess.
1981 Mercury Marquis Brougham
Datsun 310GX Massive Panel Gap Edition
+1 🙂
1977-1979 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency Sedan.
The colors are making me think some kind of ambulance.
