Team Clue scores again. This time it was greasyknight who had the correct answer for the ’59 Chevy Apache Truck. But; I’m going to up the ante a bit, at least I hope so. And let’s just say that hole is there for a reason. Happy hunting. (BTW, this is for Monday’s CC, not the Pinto CC re-runI just put up)
CC Clue

At first I thought it was a Renault Dauphine, but it’s rear grille doesn’t extend to the middle of the rear deck. That slot has to be a for a crank starter. Maybe a mid-Sixties Peugeot 404?
I think you nailed it. And I think Paul got so excited by the Bradley that he forgot he’d clued this one.

The Bradley was a bit of quick diversion while I put together the very long new CC, which is up now.
My 59 Hillman Minx has a hole like that for the crank handle but not that grille.
Perhaps an early Morris Minor, say 1950 model.
The “enhanced” model in this linked photo has a similar entry for he crank: http://davosdavos.blogspot.com/2010/01/supercharged-morris-minor-van.html
A lot of cars in the 1974-78 era had weird-looking slots in the bumpers for jack placement, but the one shown really looks like a slot for a crank. That said, I’m having my usual luck coming up with any idea of what vehicle might be shown.
The grille is tricky Ford/Simca Vedette? they had an elongated heart shaped grille.
