The Clues have been going awfully fast lately, so we’ll try to make this one a bit harder. Let’s see if we succeed or not. Meanwhile, Sammy B gets the nod for guessing the Lexus ES250 on the first guess. See what I mean?
Update: A bit too hard, perhaps? Here’s a bigger slice.
I’ll throw in a wild one here, an early eighties Dodge Diplomat.
I guess it’s a car, but that photo reminds me of the big ice machines that used to be outside of every gas station.
International something or other? Looks like an endgate and step…
I’m gonna say the extremely rare International Wagonmaster.
I’m hafta go with the bustleback Seville of 1980-1985.
I’m sure you got it right. Absolutely, positively the Seville.
Nailed it. I’m sure this seemed like a restrained design when Lincolns had distended sundials on their trunks, but it sure hasn’t aged well. I’m sure the stylists would love to know that, 30 years on, people are guessing their Cadillac is a tractor-trailer/ice machine!
Caddy Seville the strange one they didnt finish past the C pillar
1979 – 1985 Buick Riviera.
I was thinking 1976-77 Buick Regal, but John got it — it’s a bustleback Seville all right. Looks like it’s in horrible shape, though!
The last one of these I remember seeing was in about that condition, but it was black. It parked in a handicap space near where I worked, and the most noticeable thing about it other than the never-washed paint was the headliner, which hung down so far that the driver must not have had any rear vision at all through the window.
