I’d say Sean has earned the title of Master Sleuth around here. He tagged the ’71 Grande in grand style. I know you all like your Clue pictures big and with lots of resolution, so here you go. Click it on for an even bigger look. Does that help?

Instant reaction: Pontiac. 1940s?
Late 30s Pontiac thats a very carefully beaten grille bar.
Chrysler Airflow?
Definitely not a Prius…
I’ve got nothing, except to say the other guesses are wrong. Except Junqueboi, he’s dead on.
I cheated by googling car logos, and figured the carefully cropped red circle could be a late 30’s Buick, Pontiac, or Chrysler. I got really excited by the first glimpse of a 1936 Buick Century – but those logos were mounted off-centre. Then I wondered if we were looking at a trunk instead of a grille (which would have Pontiac written all over it)?
Then I had a drink. Then I tried to approach it from what car Paul would want to write about, and after more googling realized that there could be an article on ‘Chrysler Airflow influences on the Peugeot 402’ (Paul IS keen on Peugeots, and did that great article on Corvair influences a while back). And if he isn’t writing it this time, maybe he will later.
