Looks more like a recent Xtera to me.

My initial impulse was a Daihatsu Charade but most of them had horizontal taillights.
I suspect some kind of Nissan but I can’t quite place it.
Looks like a Mazda Tribute taillamp lens. Maybe something homemade?

You got it right, it is a van based on the Toyota Hilux i think… Really ugly, rear drive and with a rigid axle in the back. Yuck. It is really reliable, but again, yuck. Toyota Avanza… 🙁
It’s a Mexican car, I guess. I seem to remember those tillights on the Suzuki Wagon R+ but this doesn’t look like one. So I’m gonna say what other have already said above. Some kind of Suzuki.
