Isuzu Rodeo or Honda Passport. Amazingly the Rodeo was memorilized in song when Colin Raye sang “Little Red Rodeo.”
The Passport came out around the same time I learned to drive. Driving my father’s Caprice wagon home in an ice storm (and learning much about RWD B-body handling on the nearly empty streets) I came upon a woman in a red Passport going slower than a bicyclist would have. The vehicle was clearly marked with 4WD badges and that was when I realized the pretender nature of most SUV owners/drivers.
Well, while reading your Bronco II article in TTAC Paul (I clicked on the link in Jeff’s Ranger article), I see that pre-Bronco II you had an ’83 Civic wagon, so that’s my guess! Dad was a Honda mechanic though the 80s, so I remember these wagons from new – if the clue is of a Civic, I look forward to the article.
Honda was BLMCs new brand here yer dad wouldnt have been very busy those were ok cars. I had a Civic 5 door a few years ago still had motorcorp stickers on it.

Looks like an ’86ish Civic Wagon. Loved those.
Is it an Olds Bravada ?
Definitely a pre-facelift Civic Wagovan.
I agree. It’s a Civic Wagovan.
