I don’t see a CC Clue scheduled for this evening, so I thought this might make a good one… it’ll either be really easy, or maybe not… How well do you know your gas caps?
UPDATED – no-one’s even in the ball park yet, so I think maybe I cropped too tightly. See if this wider view helps any…

Pontiac 6000 STE with ALL the options.

OK, good guess. How about 1985 Pontiac Sunbird? Because I had one new.
Pontiac Fiero ? 84?
I’m going to break the rules and make a statement with great certitude: I am absolutely positive that I have no earthly idea as to what car this clue came from!
Hope I don’t get banned… (c:
Actually, the new clue helps, because I once owned one…I think it’s a first-generation Corvair.
I’ll guess first-generation (1995-99) Dodge/Plymouth Neon.
I’d guess that it is from some sort of vehicle that has been playing in the mud from the dirt around filler door. Maybe some sort of SUV?
OK, new clue… how bout a Corvair.
Gen 1 Corvair
Corvair, first gen, with the optional No-Mar shield for the gas door too!
Alfa Romeo Spider
Definitely from your barn find Corvair. My dad had a 1961 Corvair. He bought one of those chrome pieces to protect the paint around the gas-fill.
