Michael Freeman nailed the Toyota pickup clue. He says that he did not cheat and look at the back end of the site, and I believe him because Michael never does anything the easy way. Jim was less than five minutes behind Michael. While we await a ruling on whether authors are eligible to win our fabulous prizes, and since we have only one lavish gift basket, I guess I will just have to keep it myself and enjoy the summer sausage and smoked gouda as I write this. So thank you. It is quite good. Anyhow, moving on.
So what have we here? That is for you to tell me. And no, we are not doing a Curbside Waffle Iron feature. But that’s all the hint you get.
1962 Chrysler Newport
+1, extreme close up
What kind of wine is in the “Lavish Gift Basket”? How much?
I’ve seen this before, but I can’t put a finger on it without resorting to Google.
I have to add.. Worst wax job EVER! 😀
1961 Lincoln Continental. Rear trim.
Late ’80’s DeVille?
638 Sixth Avenue.
Whatever it is, it reminds me of the 1995-2000 Chrysler Sebring coupe with its fake grille.
Late ’80’s Kenworth truck.
1977-79 Olds 98.
1979 Cadillac DeVille
Oh, oh, have to rescind that. It’s not a grille — the “holes” are filled in.
Late ’70’s Oldsmobile. Without a doubt.
1962 or 1963 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk?
That’s where I was going. Some photos show blacked-out squares on the trunk’s valance panel; others have a black stripe at the base instead. I can’t tell if photo captions have gotten the years mixed up or whether this was a trim variation available both years.
Although it resembles an Olds grille, it’s not. Look closely and you can see the black space is actually plastic…if it were a grille those areas would be open.
Sorry, that’s all I got…
