sheesh, late again. Yup, an ’86 to ’91 vanagon, but I’m gonna go further and claim it’s an 89 or later Westfalia, 2wd, not syncro.
Why not a syncro? Chances are syncro owner would have ditched the DOT rectangular headlight for either (expensive) euro-spec rectangulars, or gone for the 4 round light South African grill.

I think we have a winner with Mr. Wayman. His prize is a 1987 Renault Alliance GTA convertible. Considering its reliability and quality, maybe he can use it as a nice outdoor planter.
sure looks a lot like the 81 Datsun pickup I had. Pretty sure it’s not with all these other guesses sounding sure of themselves.
