This morning’s ’68 Mercury Monterey cruiser was easily guessed (again) by Dean Edwards. He’s now two for two.
So let’s try for tomorrow. There is a story about Iris and Albert again, although it isn’t their ’70 Caprice that I bumped into. Bonus points are available for model year and trim level. What is it?
1978 Chevy C 10 Cheyenne pick up.
I’d go a bit earlier in the year, maybe 1976, but a Chevrolet or GMC pickup, for sure. Or Suburban.
1965 Ford Galaxie.
I’ll say a 1977 GM pickup with the Silverado (if it’s a Chevy) or Sierra Grande (if it’s a GMC) trim package. The 2 tone package with the chrome trim around it was only used on the top trim levels as I recall. That 2 tone blue scheme was very popular in these parts.
I am going to say a ’79 Chevolet Cheyenne or Silverado. My Dad had a ’79 GMC High Sierra “Heavy Half” . . . . dark metallic brown with a tan insert.
Im’a go with 77′ Chev. C10
I’ll guess a 1976 Chevy with chrome bumper option, or a higher trim level than my old C-20 Custom Deluxe, which had a white-painted bumper.
I did a little customization on that truck. That middle indentation on the bumper? I filled it in with heavy, black contact vinyl paper and painted satin black the “powdered” areas of the headlight surrounds inside the chrome rim on the bezel. The truck did look sharp – on a budget.
My old truck was fire-engine red with a white cab roof. Plain sides.
I’ll go with a 76 C10 (2wd) Cheyenne Blazer.
My guess would be a ’79 Chevy Silverado (GMC Sierra Classic) or possibly Bonanza..if that sliver of chrome above the bumper is indeed the RF headlamp/parking lamp bezel. It’s definitely not a ’77 model. From what’s shown, the only way to differentiate between the pre-’79 models (except ’77) is to really know your colors (which I don’t unfortunately).
I can’t wait to see this thing…I have always loved these vehicles & currently have a driveway/yard full of them.
Darn, now that I think of it..I don’t think this color was available in ’79. ugh.. Okay, it’s a ’78 then.
Early 1970s Chevrolet pickup truck…C-10/20/30. Possibly a Suburban.
Later years of that body style had a more conventionally-shaped bumper. Also, the side-sculpting on the fringe of the picture is a dead giveaway…that, too, went away with the 1980-ish refresh.
The two-tone paint suggests 1973 or 1974. Also suggests, strongly, it may be a Suburban with top-line trim.
Wow could be either a Chevy or gmc pickup, blazer or suburban. The hard part is hitting the year. Theoretically could be anywhere from 74-86, but going to guess sometime in the late 70s due to the blue/sky blue fancy color combo
I will go with 1973-4 Chevy Cheyenne Super
Bumper guards make me think it’s a GMC Sierra, I’ll say 1976.
