Today’s CC did prompt a wide variety of guesses, as two-thirds thought it was a GM product of some variety. Richard Bennett started on the Ford angle and today’s Honor of Distinction goes to Tim B for stating a Ford Taurus. Congratulations!
In the interest of being fully transparent, my camera ran out of gas after I started taking pictures. The irony of it all. But at least I was able to capture this machine during its brief reprieve. So what the heck is it?
Looks like a 1980 Aspen/Volare sedan or wagon….
Too bad it isn’t a Ford Pinto as the jokes could flow from there. World’s first “safe” Pinto, etc.
Dodge Diplomat (just because Aspen/Volare was already taken)
I am going to also say Dodge Aspen/Plymouth Volare, but also note that it is a Non A/C equipped model due to the missing vent on the end of the instrument panel.
I think MoparDave nailed it right out of the gate. Putting more than 5 gallons of gas in an Aspen/Volare would likely double the value. Not as good as a Pinto joke, but…..
mid 80’s K Car
Hey! I was going to say Diplomat! 🙂 Or any of a variety of cars off the F-Body platform. But not a Fifth Avenue. A bit too bare and velourless for that.
1978 Ford Granada.
dodge k car of the earlier 80s…or dodge version of the town n country wagon before k-car version
