For tomorrow’s CC, the only thing to say is that I’ve really stepped out of my wheelhouse. Stepped way out, like Janis Joplin signing a Conway Twitty song.
Worn hinges most likely. Then there’s accident damage. Perhaps some trim has been removed for a repaint. Or maybe it’s a Friday built South African car. Old Benzes have all the same maladies as other old cars.
My first thought was a 700 series Volvo, possibly 900 series. But jim seems to know his Benzes and since a W108 is a dream car for me, I’m hoping, I’m wrong.
W116 Mercedes
’85’87 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham.
W108 Mercedes
Yep, I agree. W 108 in 050G code paint.
A similar beast conveyed me to work this morning.
I have no idea, but would a Mercedes have such poor body fit? Then again, a w108 would be pretty old.

Looks like the General’s handiwork to me. I’m guessing ’77 to mid 80s vintage, B body, but no idea which one.
I’m hoping for an r-body Chrysler.
1975-1979 Chevrolet Nova.
’84-’87 Pella Casement.
1980 – 1984 Cadillac Coupe Deville.
A-body midsize, 78-85 or 6.. No exposed B pillar.
No further information available.
Datsun 310 GX
Definitely a Benz of some sort.

Is it a trick of the light or angle of photography, the trim on the right hand door looks different to the other one?
Rear doors of some van?
