My CC photo files are growing larger, so I’m trying to clear out some inventory this week. This nameplate is both pedestrian, and somewhat uncommon (thanks to a brief, 2 1/2 year production run). Good luck!

Dodge 400

1982/1983 Dodge 400
1980-81 R body Plymouth Gran Fury. Both pedestrian and rare simultaneously. Bonus points for you Dave if it has the Slant 6 just because that would make it about as fast as Congress. Further bonus points because I believe every surviving example has been blown up by Hollywood during cop movies/TV shows of the 80s.
Is that a Dodge 600?

Some sort of K-car derivative.
I believe it’s a Dodge 600
I second this. Maybe even a 600 ES?
Definitely a Dodge 400. Nameplate died out after 1983, when the sedan was jettisoned and the coupe and convertible moved into the 600 line.
The 400 ran for 2.5 years then became a 600, so it’s a 400
When was the half year? Was it introduced as an early 1982 model?
The “400” was replaced by the “600” half way through the 1983 production year
The early Dodge 400/600 had the same tail lights, how can you tell?
I think we all agree on the same thing, so I’ll be a contrarian and guess – the Powell Motors “Homer”.
Mopar really had a fetish for putting the top of the plate recess above the taillights didn’t they?
+587 for Dodge 600
Definitely an 82-3 Dodge 400.
