It reminds me of both a 1960 Dodge Polara and ’61-63 T-Bird. But given the customised Seville posted earlier, I’m convinced that this is actually no less than a customised 1978 Toyota Corona.
’61-’63 T-Bird. The fin and thick rubber seal are the give away. The ’60 Dodge did not have the gap with the rubber between the chrome bezel and the body and the Dodge fin had a small round reflector on it. Also the trunk lid opening on the Dodge is inside the bezel while the T-Bird cut line is on the outside right by the fin.
At first I couldn’t believe the T-Bird’s taillight bezels were that thick. But then I remembered that was a criticism of its styling by a panel of designers in an assessment in Motor Trend in 1961 (I still have that issue) – styling hurt by too much chrome front and rear. Therefore, I vote 61-63 T-Bird, my second favorite Bird (first being 64-65; didn’t like the changes to front or rear in 66).
An excellent mind-messing CC Clue. My immediate thought was T-bird, but then the Dodge similarity came to mind and I was convinced we were being set up 🙂 . What made Dodge seem more likely was a dim memory of those odd variations in fin treatments on the different 1960 models!
1960 Dart quickly comes to mind, but I don’t think I am correct.
Easy peasy… ’61-’63 Thunderbird. Not enough detail to nail down which year.
Beat me to it.
+1 but sort of close to 1960 Dodge
+1 bulletbird. chrome rear light bezel the giveaway for me.
If your talking about the 1960 Dodge I’ll venture a guess that its a Matador
.

gonna agree with the the 61-3 bullet ‘bird
I think it is some early to mid 1960s Chrysler Motors product.
1960 Dodge, one of the lower lines (comparable to Plymouth of that year).
Crazy style; give me a Chrysler or DeSoto please if it has to be a ’60 Mopar!
#1 is correct. 1960 Dodge. Dart (pre-compact) Pioneer, etc.
Boy, is my face red! This has Thunderbird written all over it.
Agreed: ’61-’63 T-bird.
That fin and the taillight chrome are unmistakeable.
My über-favorite flavor of T-bird!

Yup. Rodger Dodger has it. I had a ’62 for a short while. Lost my budget to do the restoration when the 2 kidlettes came along…. Not a bad trade-off.
Yes, It’s a 61-63 T-bird

Sorry I missed this yesterday, so obviously the T-Bird. The Dodge had the little reflector button mounted in the tailfin just above the bezel.
