Reader Phil came the closest of anyone in guessing Monday’s Cadillac. A big round of applause is in order for Phil and his ability to determine the make of a car from seeing a wiper blade and a piece of paper.
Tomorrow you will definitely get your money’s worth – not only is this a CC you won’t find just anywhere, it is also a drive report. It will also contain (shaky) video and (horrid) narration to add to the ambience.
Jag XK150?
I was going to say XK120….
Studebaker. Let’s say a ’51 Champion.
’62-’63 Hawk?
Noting the emphasis on rarity, I’m going to say 1958 Packard Hawk.
I also agree, Studebaker G.T. Hawk.
Craig
Yup….early 50’s Studebaker came to mind immediately. OR, possibly the much rarer (and uglier) Packard Hawk.
While the 1st gen Thunderbird also had those fender side air intakes, the flatter sheetmetal and square corner of door looks Studebaker to me. Lack of trim says 62-63 GT Hawk. Seen here with typical rust.
Steve, just a reminder not to post photos when guessing on the clue posts. It leaves the rest of us guessing longer! 🙂

With my track record on these things? Pic or not, most will dismiss my guess out of hand.
But, I’ll refrain from posting a pic that clearly exposes why this is not from a pre 53 Studebaker.
That “door” shape doesn’t look quite the same. I’d guess that it was an earlier model??
That vent looks more truck-like to me. Something like a Chevy P30 Step Van, except the ones I drove for Carquest back “in another lifetime” didn’t have them. (Included a couple Grumman bodied Chevies.)
Final answer, Divco milk truck!
Looks like a Stude to me too. I’ll say ’48 Commander.
I’ll say a ’55 Studebaker Starliner.
They look identical to the ones on my formerly owned 1952 Champion, so that’s my guess…
Studebaker Land Cruiser maybe?
