Well, there were lots of guesses on the ’68 Galaxie, but Junqueboi ignored all the ’64 Impala talk – and took the win!
Today’s CC is a bit late, thanks to a mid-week Fourth of July holiday, working, boating, and lots and lots of fireworks! Guess quickly folks, because the next CC will be along later today.
Lincoln Town Car 1979-1989
An early 80’s Crown Vic or Grand Marquis with the formal Coach Roof option? Nah….the door frame didn’t have vinyl texture.
An ’81 Chrysler Fifth Avenue with optional padded roof and stainless steel roof cap? It did have the textured door opera window insert, but don’t remember the French seam around the “limousine” back glass.
Ok…I’m stumped.
Caprice Classic Brougham, 89-90 or so.
I’m guessing 1988-90 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham LS. It has to have the “LS” option to have the vinyl around the rear door window.
Think Michael and Carmine may be right….I’d forgotten about the Caprice LS. Obviously, my caffeine didn’t kick in…..
Believe it or not, the Brougham LS has been around since 1986. There is a couple I do banking for that has one. So, having said that, it’s between a 1986 and a 1990 Caprice Classic Brougham LS.
If I hadn’t decided to take a nap today I would have been right on top of this one!
Regardless, It’s a car I would love to have sitting in my garage.
The Brougham is dead. Long live the Brougham!!!
Looking at the double stitching of the rear window and how the door recesses into the roof, I’m going with the new downsized DeVilles of ’86
Why am I thinking presidential limo here?
I can’t believe I got the CC clue…definitely this week’s biggest accomplishment. Who-hoo!
