Okay, two of the vehicles in the shot should be easy to identify…but they are not the subject of tomorrow’s post. And yet, perhaps they are related after all…

Chevrolet vega?
I second my first answer and list my new guess as an AMC Spirit (possibly AMX or SX/4) with louvers.
AMC Gremlin next question please!
AMC Hornet fastback/hatchback. With some god-awful louver thingies on the back glass.
Ok, YJ Wrangler and WJ Grand Jeeps. I’ll guess something with AMC or Chrysler heritage. Perhaps the AMC Eagle as it was more or less a CJ in Drag.
bad Chrysler sourced ball joints? ahaha
Hornet/Concord or Spirit, but the camera angle distorts the slope of the deck lid. Since Steve65 beat me to it with the Hornet (2nd gen) I’ll say Spirit. Best styled AMC car of all time IMO.
1977 AMC Hornet w/the AMX package.
Yep.
+2 although I’m horrible at these
Allowing that the guess is correct that it’s a Hornet Hatchback in the foreground…the two in the background are AMC-Jeep products made at some point by Chrysler. Chrysler either designed them through the Jeep arm or updated them.
The Hornet…Chrysler never touched it. Even the Hornet-derived Eagle…first thing Lido did was pull the plug on that line.
AMC Hornet AMX
It could be an SX/4, I suppose.
It probably is none other than the Eagle – but let me put a contrarian guess out there: early 1980s Subaru Leone.
The yellow car is an early mid 70s AMC Hornet Hatchback with factory louvers. The Jeep is a YJ Wrangler and the SUV is a Jeep Grand Cherokee. While that particular example is a 99-04 model, the Grand Cherokee was on the drawing boards when Chrysler bought AMC. Chrysler bought AMC mostly for Jeep as a whole but especially for the Grand Cherokee which proved to be quite popular and is one of Chrysler’s most profitable and recognizable brands.

You guys — that’s not the Hornet-based AMX. That’s the 1961 Ambassador two-door coupe with the exclusive venti-port rear window. It was years ahead of its time. In fact, so ahead of its time that only 150 were produced before AMC quietly gave up on that option. Pity, really.
Well I’ll defer to you guys on this one, but man it sure looks like a Buick by Opel Kadett fom over here.
76 AMC AMX.
