Hello everyone, it’s good to see you all again. I’ve been very busy over the past few weeks preparing for an upcoming trip, so my postings have been a bit scarce here at CC.
To make up for it, I’m sharing this (darn easy) clue and posting tomorrow’s Curbside Classic.
On Wednesday, I’ll be driving the Curbside Classic pictured here to Las Vegas to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Mustang. The car is my personal vehicle, and will join 2,000 other Mustangs in the infield of Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
That is, I’ll make the trip if the Car Gods allow it. I’ve recently done major work to the car, and between the ever shrinking timeline and the nature of these projects, I’ve encountered a few bugs that need to be cleared up by Tuesday night.
Still, I remain optimistic, and expect to be in Vegas for all four days of the event. If you plan on making the trip as well, swing by my car and say “Hi.” If I’m out exploring the venue, I’ll leave my cell number on the front seat, and you can dial me up. If I’m close, I’ll swing by and we can talk about our favorite Curbside Classic articles.
Good luck to all, Dave S.
Uhhh – a Mach 1?
Yes, of course- But WHICH Mach 1?
A black one.
Not so much- Stay tuned for tomorrow’s posting.
D’oh. Looking forward to it.
’74 Mustang II with big block 🙂 2.8 V6 in my favorite color. Or maybe not. I like it already. Too bad the gathering is so far from NC.
I think Mustang people as a whole are much nicer than Firebird/Camaro people.
Taking a look at that vinyl/chrome trim which ever Mach it is, it will be a bit “broughamy”.

Yup. Vinyl inlaid chrome bodyside molding sure makes it look like a Mustang II
I think you’re right Steve, No Mach 1 before or after the Mustang II had the vinyl side moulding
MUSTANG, CAMARO, FIREBIRD, MOPAR, MARLIN, AMX, British, A car person is a good thing.
I saw “Vegas” and my heart jumped, until I realized what it actually said.
I haven’t a clue (like always) but wish you good luck with your trip.
As I had a ’75 Mustang II Mach I 302 in Bright Canary yellow I would say that’s what it is; only mine had the script the whole side of the door. Maybe a different year, ’76?

junqueboi pegged it as a 74, and the pic I posted, which shows the Mach 1 decal just behind the front wheelwell, is also a 74
