Here are two recent images by William Garrett uploaded at the CC Cohort. An early ’60s Falcon and a mid-’70s Pinto Squire Wagon, all from a walk in Sunnyvale that seemed stuck in the past. And if one could remove the modern plastic items from the images, maybe the time travel effect would be complete.

Million dollar two story and a bungalow in Sunnyvale! Right down the street from my brother-in-law’s house and Apple’s new headquarters building!
Just saw another Pinto wagon, 73 in white, for sale down by Redwood City. Pretty good shape for such a car and a manual. I’d never touch and auto but the manual is another story.
The first pic almost looks like it was lifted from the neighborhood depicted in ‘Edward Scissorhands’.
Wow!! There’s a “flick” I’ve not thought about in “decades”!!
Given the cost of housing in the bay area, little wonder why they aren’t driving new cars.
That’s only if you bought in the last 20 years. My parents bought their house just north of Redwood City in 1961, the majority of their neighbors have been there since the 1970’s or earlier. The rise in housing prices has had no effect on any of their budgets. Prices went out of control in the early-2000’s when hitech companies became the dominant employers from San Francisco south to San Jose.
Oh that “poor, ole Pinto”..Soo sad.
Nice ~ I’d take either one on as a project .

Love that Falcon. When I was young kid love those cars.
That purple house must be the bane of the neighborhood! There goes the property values of those around it. SMH
I’ll take a funky purple house over a boring beige one any day. That large roll down security gate above the garage is a real head scratcher. Looks like George Jetsons flying saucer garage/ hanger.
The old Falcon would be a good revival project love the house colour the car should match it.
That’s a power hurricane shutter. I didn’t think the weather got that bad out there. Could also be for protection from punks throwing rocks.
Those old Pintos are pretty cool, especially the wagons. I’ve been thinking of adding one to my collection.
