Roshake77 keeps finding all sorts of cars in Budapest, including this Camar with impressive intake ram tubes, just like a Chaparral and lots Chevy drag racers and such. Back then it was usually Hiborn injectors for the drag cars, and possibly Weber carbs for the sporty racers.
A closer look at these suggest they’re just for show, and look to be made out of aluminum tubes; maybe even aluminum cans.
Terrible. Bet the hood pins are fake as well. Sad because it would look okay without that crap.
They would go nicely with riceboy fart cans on the exhaust (or exhaustS, one likely a dummy) made from old coffee cans.
The “aftermarket” glare shields on the flashing red lights on one of my high school’s older buses were made from cut-up tin cans painted yellow, but at least they DID something.
Reminds me of this can job, along with this spoiler; this headlamp modification, these pedals, and this…uh…whatever we might call it.
Good horsepower tips there, hosted on Angelfire, no less! That really gets my VTEC kickin’ in, yo!
…now I’m off to the garage to get more whiter light out of my headlights. They’ll be just like natural daylight, and I’ll be able to see further because 60 watts=100 watts after you get all that dirty yellow light out of the beam. I don’t have any neodydlium or blue Saran Wrap, but a light coat of Krylon blue ought to do the trick. This should get me by until I can afford some real, beam pattern corrected HID’s.
You just filled up the bingo card, like, three times over.
Whoah, dude, watch yer step; you’re treading awful close to invoking he-who-mustn’t-be-named. I mean, LOL and stuff, fer sher, but…just be careful.
Very Mad Max, in fact the same exact execution was done on the flamed out Bel Air in the first one. Kinda took me out of it when the bikers started smashing it and they had a close up shot of them falling off the hood
Aussie Chev of 59 only had a six thats the irony
Popular vintage car enthusiast Steve Magnante has made a few videos pointing out the faux hood scoops of the muscle car era.
Filling up a couple of weeks ago there was a girl fueling her Suzuki Swift fat tyres and numerous hotrod stickers for mods on the front fenders but when she drove away I heard a gasping 1300cc or so automatic straining to move it never mind the Exceedy performance clutch sticker.
I see either ultimate headers or a water injection system that collects its own rain water.
Every once in a while I’ll see a well loved and preserved model of this series Camaro and remember how impressed I was when they debuted. I didn’t like the build quality or the interior that much, but I did like the styling. Speaking about home brew body mods, I once saw a compact car with a rear deck wing that was obviously built with a section of fence board and and a couple of sections of 2×4. The saving grace was that it was completely covered with leopard print fabric. Why limit yourself to putting a Tiger in your tank?
There are still guys willing to build their own version of a muscle car. These are quite affordable and there are lots of parts available to modify and improve them. There is even a bolt on independent rear suspension unit available.
