Anyone has my problem with this website, every one photo since yesterday became two photos, a double version and double effort? I use Chrome browser in Apple iPhone 11.
Yes, but only in “incognito” mode which I have to use on this site on my phone to get readable-size text that does not spill over, requiring back and forth, back and forth…
LG something-or-other, Android 8. Waiting for reliable 5G in my area before upgrading and for reasonable pricing. I won’t buy four-figure phones. This one was low two-figures, reconditioned, and has been fine.
Just chiming in to say I’m getting double images too on my phone with Android 12 and Chrome.
I’m just grateful that the mobile site came back up a few weeks ago after not working for 1½ – 2 years! It was always an unpleasant chore to have to re-format and re-size the screen in order to read any article.
I’ll add to evidence in case it helps. Samsung A50, Android 11 most current update, and Firefox. Not using incognito mode just regular and the mobile version of CC. Double photos only showing up in the article, single photos in any replies.
Anyone remember the 1979 movie “The In-Laws” where Alan Arkin’s nice conservative BMW gets a permanent (it never wears out and you can’t paint over it) flame paint job by accident?
When I was an avid member of the RWD Volvo online community, I saw this sort of thing somewhat often. It’s what I would call a good-natured, self-mocking, self-deprecation, of exactly how much these cars are not at all hot rods or high-performance cars.

This is obviously intended to illustrate what happens to front disc brake assemblies when the caliper sticks during a high speed pursuit, as the police close in on another dangerous Volvo wagon driver!
+1 on the stuck caliper. Except I’ll note that you could probably drive it around with a seized front brake for several years…the flames being just a minor indicator that you might want to check it out the next time you’re under there. 😉
There’s Hot Wheels “240 Drift Wagon” model that comes pretty close to looking like the one in this pic. No flames, but side pipes. Kind of neat for those who are into Hot Wheels, or Volvos.
Oh, and yeah, double images only show up for me if I’m in the mobile version of the site which is what I get if I use Chrome or Firefox (on the iPhone or Android tablet). It seems ok if you use the Desktop version. Hummmmm.
So subtle, yet so hilarious!

I’m getting double pics as well on CC (mobile version) using browser DuckDuckGo on an iPhone 11 under IOS version 16.2.
I’m seeing double too, on my iphone. Hmm…
It isn’t everybody. Also iPhone 11 but using whatever iPhones use (iOS 16 on Safari?), didn’t even realize you could use Google Chrome on an iPhone!
One note – I use the CC version that looks just like the desktop version, not the “mobile” layout.
I’m seeing double on both versions: web and reader.

Why are the FRONT wheels flaming ?
Yes, I am seeing double images in every post, as well.

Very funny movie. Maybe this happened here too?

“Mama, I told you not to always keep your left foot on the brake pedal when you are driving around”.
