This picture is eerily perfect today. I received word that an older cousin passed away last week. This picture reminds me of all the time I spent riding around with him in the family’s aging 64 Galaxie 500 painted this same vintage burgundy. By that time it was the designated teenagar car with big rust holes and no hubcaps. That car did not age well – mostly due to lack of good maintenance habits. Ditto for my cousin.
More like the crosses that cartoons use for dead people’s eyes.
I’d “appropriate” that one piece forged lug wrench in a heartbeat! 🙂
Awesome pic. The cracks in the windshield are like lightning!
I think that’s a Fairmont to the left in the photo. The windshield isn’t doing any better on that one either.
A solemn tribute to the departed RH ’64 mirror. That piece can’t be too common?
On second thought seeing them mismatch with the LH maybe it deserved to be knocked off?

I still carry a four way in my trunk even though I haven’t changed a tire myself in years.(God bless auto club)
This is giving me ideas!
It’s a sign. Or maybe an omen. Of what, I’m not sure. But it’s a sign of something for sure.
