Here’s a charming little Peugeot cabriolet to get my juices flowing. No, it’s not a sports car; just a French style cabriolet in the classic tradition: a cut down sedan with seating for two, with that famous Peugeot ride and seats. In this case it’s the 304, the evolution of the 204, with front wheel drive and a 65 or 75 hp 1288cc four that purred. Perfect for a relaxing drive in the country with the top down.
As is all-too obvious, it’s a bit petite for today’s standards, which of course adds to the appeal. Some 18,647 were built between March 1970 and July 1975. The was a coupe version too.

The Peugeot Citroen Suzuki Haval dealer I used to get filters etc from have an identical car sitting among other collectables, yes very cool little cars.
Keep the Peugeot Pics coming, I love to see them in the wild! I have a 505 and never see others in my region (Seattle).
i’ve akways thought these looked great with the top open, but niot so much with the top closed.
What a great way to go around those D roads…..
Slab bodysides, high beltline trim, and smaller rear wheelwell arches, remind me of the more stylish NSU Ro80.
I love the coupe version.
Cute little thing. We owned an ’83 504 diesel wagon for a while and loved it, still have a soft spot for Pugs and in a perfect world would love another wagon, maybe a 505? But not likely to happen now, just too hard to find a good one, and then there’s the parts situation…
