Ralf K (Don Kincl) shot a couple of oldtimers sitting in the weeds. The one in front is a ’57-’59 Studebaker, and behind it is an Econoline pickup. Only two years separate the last year of this generation Studebaker and the first year for the Econoline, but they could hardly be more different, except for the color blue.

Those two actually overlapped, if we count the heavy duty trucks that Studebaker built into the 1964 model year. All of the big HD stuff retained the Transtar cabs until the end.
Both of these look like they are ready to start right up and drive.
The Studebaker looks like it’s about to open its mouth and bite me…
I’d still take the Stude over the Econoline though; no fears of flipping over on its front if I brake too hard, and my legs won’t be the truck’s crumple zone.
I hope someone saves these fine old trucks .

The truck has ’57 President hubcaps. The owner must have been a serious Studie fan.
I like the bumper on the Stude, No styling pretenses.
