Ingvar Hallstorm’s article here at CC on the Swedish cultural phenomena known as the A-Traktor is the top-ranked result if you Google that term. But it’s always nice to see more of these, and Corey Beherens found this fine Volvo, which is the most common one converted to this use. So enjoy this visual tour of a genuine A-Traktor.
I can’t believe nobody else has commented on this yet! Maybe they’re at a loss of words to describe it besides “unique.” It appears to still be useable for some type of job as it’s got a European-style ball hitch on the rear bumper.
Looks like poseur junk to me but everyone’s allowed to make a custom or art car if they wish .
A guy I know who’s from Sweden put a WWII surplus Jeep front sheet metal on his old Volvo Duett when he couldn’t find crash parts for it in the 1970’s…
Similar to this but still a decent driver and work horse unlike this slammed junk that’s not fun to drive .
