I do remember a time when not all of these were car show queens, glitzied up for use only on Sundays. So if you, like me, wished for a variant on the theme, how about an almost monochromatic take?
So no glitz, but instead true curbside classic bliss.

My 65 Special Landau. in her natural habitat.
Fab! LA? Palm Springs?
Beautiful car. I’d love to see more of her habitat!
First thought: I want that. Second thought: Run away!
I remember there was a doctor that lived a couple of doors down from us in the mid-’60s, and they replaced one of their two cars every year. Nevertheless, the ’65 T-Bird they had was kept for several years, they hung on to it much longer than expected. After 4-5 years it was replaced by a Toronado, and the last time I saw it in the early ’70s is was in similar condition to the featured car. Rather sad, because it was always in nice shape when the doctor owned it. I remember sitting in it in their garage when it was new, a far cry from our Dodge Dart.
