…for Curtis Perry to be out and about shooting curbside classics, like this 1971 Chrysler 300 two-door hardtop.
1975 Lincoln Town Car
70s Ford pickup in front of the Masonic Lodge
Datsun 620 pickup
Volvo 262C Bertone coupe
And a 1961 Rambler Classic
Curtis Perry has an eye for photography just like our own Joseph Dennis.
Nice to see the wrap around bumper on the fuselage Chrysler.
I have a soft spot for these cars??????
+1
The Chryslers have the most attractive grilles and taillights of the fuselage cars, IMHO.
Nice photographs………i especially like the rambler in that beige/gold setting. the Town car looks great i can imagine myself sitting accross the street and taking in the long and boxy lines of it. the Ford in front of the lodge brings memories of watching missisipi burning. dont ask why:(
Great stuff. He’s captured the Chrysler at the perfect angle, making the trunk look sufficiently shorter than it actually is.
Don-
I agree, and given the subject matter I wouldn’t have thought that possible….
Th first pic with the big blue Chrysler gets my vote.
Nicely framed with the big tree, suddenly I’m 16 years old. Except there is a futuristic vehicle parked in the background.
Yeah, the Subaru ruins it. Not crazy about the tree growing out of the roof, either. Otherwise, a great shot of a great fuselage, down to the colors, whitewalls, and original wheel covers.
“The night time is the right time”…
I know I know that chant. I was gonna say The ‘Burbs, or even the Dragnet movie, but I’m pretty sure that was from the cult skit on one of Adam Sandler’s CDs.
Very nice shots though! That Lincoln lives on Belmont in Portland. Close to Straight from New York pizza…a damn good place to get a couple slices and a pint.
I actually thought that phrase originated from an old Michelob commercial, but thanks for clarifying where at least one of these was shot. I love his photography, and his subject matter. I’m always amazed at the finds he comes across.
And I’m absolutely swooing over that Chrysler.
Fantastic photos, as we’ve come to expect from Mr. Perry. Especially the Rambler; the colors make it!
Those are absolutely beautiful – Mr Perry is a master at lighting.
