The Pacific Northwest has long, wet winters. And things like to grow, as a consequence: trees, crops, moss, lichens. We can see two of them in rather advanced stages on this Chrysler Sebring convertible, that presumably hasn’t had its top down in some time.
It’s the beginnings of a “green roof”.
And yes, its rear end is pointing in a northerly direction.
Holy Bryophytes, Batman! I’ve seen some moss/algae-patina on cars up in my neck of the woods, but none this advanced! This thing must have been sitting for years for that kind of accumulation to occur. Judging from the equally lush mossy carpet on the driveway, I’d guess that’s the case.
In my best George Takei voice:
‘Oh my…’
Looks like it’s a Hollywood car!
As in, “didn’t I see you on a crime drama, dragged out of a lake with a body still inside”?
Well, if it had been left outside at its eponymous Sebring Beach, it would have been encrusted with sea salt and algae, probably a similar-looking result.
Is it the Chrysler Sebring “Back to Nature Edition?” 😉
Likely the famalies’3rd car. “A rolling stone gathers no moss” .Might be worth a drivetrain swap, some day. Not even in New England are wholesale lot cars this “rough around the edges”. Nice looking Push Mobile. cheere
I’m lichen this. 🙂
(pun)cutated with a smiley emoji even. Very good J P
Formally driven by Sterling Moss at Sebring
Boo!
Sad. Just sad.
An organic design.
Why recycle cars? Let to the elements. This one Johannes will fit in the recycling tub in a year. Tough to buff the moss. Most American Teens today. Would rather walk or skateboard past it.
It’s like the Flying Dutchman of cars!
The 2.7 V6 probably threw its timing chain and the valves are all bent.
I’d like to know the backstory on this convertible. What happened, who died resulting in the car just sitting there becoming one with nature.
If it was in my neighbourhood, I’d knock on the door and ask if it was for sale, then take the conversation from there.
This reminds me that I need to get on the ladder and clear the rain gutters on my roof…
When I was a teenager my mum used to say if I moved any slower I’d start to grow mold.
So this is what I would have looked like.
Chia Chrysler.
Sebring has sprung
With moss, that is.
I wonder where the owner is?
Some say that nerd is on the wing
But that’s absurd
Because the man is in the trunk
Or so I’ve thunk.
This body style didn’t use the 2.7 so it’s not that.
