That’s nothing… several years ago – okay, in the late 1980s, I passed by where a Japanese family lived not far from us, and they had FIVE Toyotas in their driveway – ALL bright red!
I have not seen either one of the 2 older cars in years, my 7th grade civics teacher had a grey Tercel like the one in the photo, thay guy had a combover and half…..
The Yaris looks very cool and modern in this picture. Kinda sad, actually, considering what it shares its driveway with. But it’s a nice color for a Yaris.
If you look up “stereotypical Eugene driveway” in a dictionary…
And not a Prius in the batch. I think they need a HiLux to complete the set.
A HiLux like this one? Nah, maybe in Springfield but not Eugene.
That’s a sweet ride, if you removed the ordinance!
The Prius is out picking up ethical free range tomatoes at 14/lb.
Wow, a three way snapshot of when Toyotas were:
1 -Kind of well styled and interesting
2 -Very boxily styled and reliable
3 – Zzzzzzzz
+1

I was impressed as well as a little saddened…
Well when the Prius Coupe comes out later this year maybe he will put a down payment on one. What is the plural of Prius, Priii?
That extra space in the driveway is for the 90s Tercel 2dr.
Are those yellowish-orange Oregon plates still valid?
Yup. My Tercel wagon had them. They’re quite common on old Japanese cars, for rather obvious reasons.

They keep the Stage1 Buick in the garage.
Nah, that’s where they store the 2000GT.
