On the way to our first mountain peak hike of the season on Sunday, we passed through Junction City. Now that’s usually good for a vintage CC or two, although typically the kind I don’t stop for. Sure enough, a pristine ’69 Camaro Z/28 (real or clone?) burbled alongside; until I saw this and quickly pulled over. Now that’s a Chevy worth stopping for….
I’m not going to indulge in a whole lot of commentary, as art cars, like all art, are a very subjective experience. So I’ll just let the car speak for itself, and I’ll just be the curator.
Lotta orange peel in that paint job. Other than that…
Yeah, it’s a lousy paint job. Shoulda’ masked off the headlights.
But at least it has wide whitewalls.
Perhaps you stumbled onto Junqueboy’s lair. 🙂
Seriously, it looks like someone spent too much time looking at a J.C.Whitney catalog in his youth.
hey hey HEY there! This would never be my ride because
1. It’s finished
2.
What did that poor car ever do to deserve that humiliation?
Those fins actually look sort of right with the C-pillar’s lines in a looney way. I love all the name scripts in a row, especially “Hotrod 88”.
Chevy? But the nose says it’s a VW Plymouth!
Could really use that Valiant Script in photo #3. My ’64 has all the trim except that.
The next time you are through Junction City around midnight . . . . . .
That’s, um, different…
50 Chevy – catch the triple slashes on the vertical supports to the turn signals.
The fins remind me of a Chrysler Royal Aussie version they had that tacked on afterthough kinda look
Equal opportunity…
