Since we’ve had a Land Rover for today’s CC, how about another one, this time an original Series I? Luckily for us, Cohort contributor Bryce took some shots of a restored ’49 model at a car show. This one is really nice, and it boasts some special cargo. Read on to find out what it is.
Now, be honest. Is that not the coolest pedal car you’ve ever seen? And it’s painted to match. So neat! And the full size one is pretty nice too. If you haven’t checked out the Cohort lately, why not see what’s new? You never know what you’ll find. Thanks for sharing the pics, Bryce!
Please tell me that pedal car is four-wheel-drive.
From my experience ( more than half a century ago) pedal cars are one-wheel drive, because they have no diff.
Without text, that second picture looks like a Land Rover giving birth.
That is indeed the coolest pedal car I have ever seen.
I just thought it was cute mother with its young in the back
Looks like it has a PTO belt drive on the back
You can’t see it but in the back of the pedal car, there’s another scale model Land Rover. 😉
I saw a similar thing recently – an Austin A40 ute with an A40 pedal car in the back. There is a story in the pedal cars themselves and they are collectible in their own right
J40 was the pedalcar designation
The A40 pedal cars were often used on carousel rides in the UK, when I was growing up in the 50s I always thought the name of the car company was”Austin of England” .
