Someone is feeling patriotic. Or just wanting to remind the world that their Civic was Made in the USA? Or?
I have a CC for this generation coming, eventually, but it will be with an EX model. In the meantime, here’s a bonus two-fer CC shot, as well as another (over)sprayed CRX:
And since we’re on the subject of home-painted Civics, here this poor little bugger.
The second car looks like either a stunt gone wrong or they forgot to cover the tires and the glass bits before spraying.
“How hard can it be to paint a car?”
That’s the Puerto Rican flag, not U.S.
Oops. Well, pretty close, eh?
FWIW, the Civic has five red stripes, and the PR flag has three. Whatever…
Looks more Puerto Rican to me!
I was almost goin to say Texas, but no.
Well Carmine you shouldn’t have drug Texas into this. I know you have everyone else fooled presenting yourself as being from the East Coast or some such place. I stumbled across your home the other day on the way to Austin and now I’m going to drag you out into the public. You should be proud of Texas.
BTW I almost knocked my glasses off saluting when I saw the first one. Then you guys tell me it isn’t even our flag.
If the picture loads your days of pretending are over Carmine. Or should I say Tex?
An orange Civic with a Confederate flag on the roof, now that would be something.
Proud product of East Liberty, Ohio?
An offshoot of the first Japanese transplant factory in the U.S (the Accord factory at Marysville, 30 miles northwest of Columbus), East Liberty produced Civics beginning in 1989 before changing over to churn out all those CR-Vs (and a few Elements and Crosstours every now and then!)
Aside:
I drive the “Honda Highway” (U.S. 33) frequently: it’s a sight to behold. A parallel universe where every second car is a Honda!
Only in U gene…..
