Summer Sunday morning: time to forget old cars and head for the woods; and what a drive on a deserted forest road it was, to a trail head for Kentucky Falls and my first a natural dip of the season, brief as it was this early in the season. I was so eager to get out of town that I actually didn’t stop for a parked ’57 Ford Ranch Wagon. But I didn’t have to stop for this hitched-up pair of Curbside Classics; shot it on the go (Stanza Wagon/Prairie CC here). Now I feel guilty about the Ranch Wagon; it was gone on the way home. Next time…
CC Outtake: Can’t Totally Escape Curbside Classics

An Elco with the air shocks about to assplode and one of those wagon things….that right there is a man who values function over form.
Did you notice the headache rack on the Camino? That’s a man who combines working with Style.
I went back and forth between New Orleans and Mobile this weekend on I-10, and for some reason I always see more towing-and-towed combinations on that stretch than anywhere else.
I particularly like the what-should-be-towing-what combos like this one. I like to think that if the towing vehicle should croak, the guy’s going to jump out with a Vise-Grip and a roll of electrical tape, doctor up the towed vehicle, switch positions and carry on.
