The other night found me in a part of town I haven’t been to for some time, and I snapped a few driveway scenes as long as the light held out. This one has quite the collection of cars. And there’s still one more hidden.
The Big Three are well represented, in proportion to their size: three Chevys, two Fords, One Dodge.
Update: that’s apparently a mid-30s Dodge pickup, not a Ford, as per our sleuth JPC.
Wow. Nice collection! And indeed very balanced–GM, Ford, Mopar…Cars, trucks, utes, vans…30’s to near present day.
I’ll take the ’56 Ford pickup, love those things
It’s a 53-55 truck; no wrap-around windshield. Iirc the grilles were the only way to tell the three years apart.
Jeez! Knock on the door and get the rest of the story! Is that a ’59 El Camino? Love this collection!
Are we sure that the black pickup in the side yard isn’t a Dodge too? It does not quite look like a Ford to me. A little googlocity convinces me that it is an early 1930s Dodge. Maybe the Big 3 proportion thing works as long as we are looking at the 1933-53 era, when Chrysler was number 2. 🙂
Oops; I didn’t really look at it closely, and me thinks you’re right.
I totally grew up in a van like that Dodge.
Nice spread !~ .
I wish I had a metal cover like that , I don’t think I can persuade my City though .

Yeah mid 30s Mopar down the side I posted a similar one on the cohort recently in garden art form. Nice collection what youd see outside a hotrod club rooms here.
Let’s have a closer look…
I like the owner’s taste in cars.
I like that ’59 El…
Also a representative example of a phenomenon I see often here in Spokane. Fill the garage with stuff, build a carport in front for the cars. Fill the carport with stuff, build a second carport in front for the cars. Fill the second carport with stuff, use the driveway for the cars.
Some homeowners also run a parallel fill/build chain. Next to the garage+carport+carport, they build a huge Butler metal building for their RV and boat. Fill the huge Butler building with stuff, build a huge carport in front for the RV and boat. Fill the huge carport …… etc.
Wow. Love to get lost there for a while.
If that was my neighbour, I think we’d get along pretty well.
Now THAT is a real car guy.
