A few months back, I showed you this truck with its theater seating, sitting on the street. And we all speculated about its possible uses. So the other night, as we summited Skinner Butte once again, there it is, on the slacker’s parking lot. And being put to good use: having a smoke, reading a good book, and enjoying the Technicolor sunset. Maybe he lives in a basement apartment.
CC Outtake Follow-Up: So That’s How It’s Properly Used

things sure are different in eugene. around here, 5 mins after you parked it, a homeless person would claim the back. still, it does have a certain appeal…
Still not being properly used. He’s at least a couple cases of beer and a small charcoal grill short of its full potential. This guy isn’t trying hard enough.
…and here I was thinking it was probably used in the summer to haul kids to Vacation Bible School….
What’re the other seats for?
The friends he wished he had?…maybe he’d have them, if he kept his theatremobile under wraps except for special occasions.
Sure seems like a less useful alternative to some folding camp chairs.
Brilliant idea. Park in a wonderful place with nice old chairs for you and your friends. Agreed on the beer and grill, though I wonder how the open container law applies in this case.
We still have a real drive-in theatre around here, that’s what this setup must be meant for.
This is but another reason to opt for cheap, rugged transportation. I miss a car I can sit on. Air-conditioned glove box? Meh.
I want this bed on the Quickset-doorknobbed Xtra-Cab Toyota.
