Four-wheel-drive farm tractors are widely used here in the earthmoving business, either to move earth or machinery. This New Holland T7030 tractor brings a Doosan crawler excavator to a construction site. Typically, a trailer as shown in the picture is towed by a dump truck with three or four axles. But for covering short distances, without freeways, a decent farm tractor can do the job just fine.

Nice. I note the trailer has a set of front wheels to carry the weight…
Eight wheel trailers like that are moved around a canning factory site Ive been on by tractor the tractor has a compressor driven by the PTO to release the trailer brakes, not legal for the road as the tractor lacks the braking capability required. Yes the front two axles are the steering dolly, I tow a similar setup on the road every day but a curtain sider behind a 400 hp Isuzu.
I worked for New Holland here in Brazil, back in 1990, right after Ford took over the company.
The main business here was (still is) agricultural machinery and the guys from engineering, were working on some modifications in order to replace the Mercedes Benz engine for the Ford engine.
At the same time Ford tractors recived the new badges: “Ford – New Holland” , but they kept the same original colors, blue for the Ford products and yellow gor New Holland products.
And now today Case-New Holland is owned by Fiat, so it shares corporate ties with Chrysler instead of Ford.
Fortunately CNH still maintains a presence in New Holland, Pennsylvania, USA. At the very least, there is a decent amount of test engineering that goes on there.
Chances are VERY slim we’ll ever see this happen in the United States. And it seems like tractors are able to move a bit faster wherever this picture was taken (mechanically restricted to around 30 or 40 mph in the US); there are some videos (1 example below) on YouTube showing how fast they can actually go in other countries. Could it possibly be engine and/or gearing differences? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO608R7VW-E
