Now why Did CC Contributor Dave Skinner think of me when he shot this in Japan the other day? Is it my fetish for campers, or kei-class trucks? Well, he hit a double with this one. I’ve been thinking about a replacement for ye ol’ Chinook, and this one certainly would address its thirst for gas. Wonder how Stephanie would feel about this? Does it have a slide-out on the other side?
CC Outtake: Suzuki Kei-Class Pop-Up Motor Home

At 6’3″, just the thought of being inside that thing makes me cringe.
Wow, and I thought the one I wanted to build out of a Ford Transit Connect was small! I gotta find some interior layouts of this thing…
Where do you sleep in that thing? Even if the bed is up in the pop up, it seems like it would be cramped for anyone over 5′ 7″ or so. A capsule hotel would be more comfortable.
Well, in a country where people are willing to sleep in a tube, perhaps this is luxury.
Since I ran afoul of the spam trap by trying to post a link I will just put up this Romahome picture and mention that Danbury mande a VW Westfalia style van conversion as well.
A one berth Romahome, for the gypsy that has everything…
While motor-home holidaying in England last month, I saw a surprising number of tiny Citroen Visa-based motorhomes, and wondered who on earth built them. Thanks to googling the Suzuki Romahome you posted, I now know the Visas are a Romahome design too. So cheers for satisfying my curiosity!
Buy one would require being measured like you where buying a taylored japanese suite.
I love it! Would love to see more pictures of it. I’m picturing this little Suzuki having some troubles climbing I-80 around the Donner Summit area, west bound, though.
That Seinfeld episode where Kramer has his Japanese guests sleeping in his bureau dresser came immediately to mind when I saw this truck.
Boy, I’d sure like to see what the inside looks like!
+1!
The truck I drive has a bigger cab than that whole vehicle and yet is only a semi sleeper youd have to get out of that to change your mind
I actually have one of these.
Okay, my son does.
Okay, my son is 3 years old and it’s of the Tomica variety.
He tells me that he wants one all the time, though. They are extremely cool, and I see why. If I had bottomless pockets and more parking spaces than brains (parking spaces are hard to come by here), there would indeed be one in front of whatever building I would be inhabiting.
How about the taller version with the luton!
That reminds me of the time they booked our car club annual meet into this hotel along with a convention of …..errrr…little people (midgets). That was a weekend I will never forget….
I am looking for a decent, used Bambi or Suzuki small motorhome for sale in the Westcountry please.Trade or private, but do’nt want to travel far from Exeter.Devon.Thanks.
