I caught this field of Corn (binders) with obvious runners and picked over support vehicles in Truckee this week. I’ve seen many parked projects and at least 3-4 runners around town.
Hear that sound? It’s Eric Van Buren and Michael Freeman slamming their car doors en route to this location!
Cornbinders always gather in packs. Rarely have I seen one non-runner without another one parked next to it.
I really like that color of green on the second in line!
Thank you for Scouting out the location for us.
lol
Colorado, Where Harvesters go to live on..
Looks like a nice piece of property too.
Internationals do tend to multiply. It usually goes like this a guy buys a Scout and needs some parts and finds a good deal on a “parts’ truck only when you get it home “you known it just needs X and Y and it’s too nice to part it out. So then you look for another parts truck and in doing so you find a pickup or Travelall and next thing you know there a bunch of them in the driveway and back yard, back 40. I’ve seen it happen too many times.
Looks like this fellow went through the standard spiral of ever increasing IH addiction. With his Scout II and it’s parts truck, a 69-70 1100 2wd with the optional chrome grille that looks like “the one that’s too nice not to save”, that looks like it may be wearing the bumper from the white 71 1110 4×4.
For me it was the Cabtop in my avatar that my brother managed to split it’s 3sp in half. That led to my Traveltop advertised as a parts truck which was the one that was too nice to part out. Eventually I found another true parts truck to convert the Cabtop to V8 4wd. Then it was on to full size….
HA! Preach on, brother. The only reason I don’t have more than one is because I don’t have room in my driveway.
How can anyone ever have only one of *any* vehicle he/she likes? Unless there’s a space problem of course. Time to purchase a new home/more land?
