OK; it’s not an old car. But I (try to) keep my camera ready for whatever there is of interest on my errands. This caught my eye..oops; someone’s not going to be happy. At the time, and from some distance, I assumed it was the powerlines he was tangled up in. A closer look shows it to be telcom cables, which are always strung several feet below the hot wires. So what’s the big deal? Just lower the boom, or scramble up there, if it’s tangled. It’s not going to bite…
CC Outtake: Tangled Up In The Wires

Oh what a mess! Hopefully that truck’s hydraulics are tip-top & won’t leak down…
Pure operator error, glad it wasnt me though all power/phone lines here must be above 4.25m maximum truck height.
100% operator Error. He failed to G. O. A. L.
That’s a 1997 or newer Peterbilt 320 with an unknown Frontloader Body. This truck is 13’6″-13’8″ tall.
When tipping a dumpster like that you are 17-18ft tall depending on the dumpster. In theory all utilities are above 14′, in practice telecom and cable lines sag or are poorly installed. Older residential areas that only see garbage trucks and the odd moving or LTL Truck are the worse.
Its even more fun when an icy dumpster slides off onto the top of the packer body. Ask me how I know.
I wouldn’t want to be anywhere around when that happens! Those dumpsters sound like cannons as-is when in the hands of a rather rough equipment operator.
You think that’s loud – wait until their boss gets the bill for the fiber repair crew’s time and materials. You don’t want to be around for that either, especially if the boss went with cheap (or super-high deductible) liability coverage
