In Eugene’s Whitaker District, enterprising entrepreneurs are always testing under-served niches in the consumer marketplace. Given the popularity of sidewalk cafes and brew pubs and such in the area, why not a sidewalk hair salon? And with genuine vintage hair dryers, to go along with the inevitable vintage car the clientele will be driving up in.

You’ll also need a classic shampoo and set hairdo to use those vintage hairdryers
“You’re soaking in it!”
Have a seat in this vintage electric hair dryer on a rainy Eugene day and you will have that new super-frizzy hairdo in no time!
Ok but will it cure baldness?
I spy a red Toyota Corolla wagon. Haven’t seen one of those in at least 5 years.
There are a few around here, but the sedans are far more common.
Just let your soul glo!!!!!!
What, no one’s commenting on the almost-beautiful W116 with the ugly US-spec headlamps and 5 MPH bumpers?
Well ok, the curbside salon equipment IS more interesting.
I thought I’ve seen that W116 before here, but the one above seems to have the Mercedes crown cap rims, whereas this one has the Mercedes hubcaps:

It couldn’t be the same car, as the CC W116 was written by Jason Shafer, who lives in Missouri.
Unless the Mercedes REALLY gets around 🙂
Maybe a collector of original, unrestored and unmolested vintage hair dryers. People are travelling around the world for less….
There are a few vintage hairdresser/beauty parlours about some appear at 50s themed car/music events
