It’s funny how sawed off the front of that Dodge looks to my modern eyes. Rather Studebaker Lark-ish.
If I may take up a legal defense of the poor Tradesman about to get accused of wrongful parking, I plead that in another 10 years or so it will probably be recycled into steel that is sent to China, most likely to be made into – a Volvo. So, as sort of a pre-Volvo, I would give it a pass.
boy that’s a good juicy rationalization. but with volvo’s announcement that they will be the first automaker to produce vehicles in china for export to america you may not be far from the mark!
I’m surprised the homeowner got away with having that sign right at the curb. Then again, it IS Eugene…like, no problem man. 🙂
As much as I like Volvos, I think a “Studebaker Scotsman Parking Only” sign would be funnier. 90% of people passing by would have no idea what it was!
I like how it’s got “CITY ORD. xxxx” in the bottom righthand corner. I can picture two Eugene bicycle cops coming across this being like “derrrrrr, should we call it in to check that ordinance number?”
Snerk!

That Dodge van had better move, otherwise it’ll get towed at owner’s expense. 🙂
