At Jerry’s the other day, the only spot open inside the lumber yard waiting area was between these two pastel-colored Chevys of the same generation. My truck felt a wee bit insecure, outnumbered two-to-one by the perennial competition. But nothing untoward happened; maybe they’ve mellowed with age.
When I first drove in, there were no spots at all, but I did note that all of the Big Four pickup/light truck makers were represented.
Good photos and I am pleased to see all these older vehicles even in 2016 which makes me wish I could see what the the picking were in 06 or 96. Up here in the Portland Area Fords make up most of the pre-1995 Fullsized Pickups though Chevies/GMCs are a close second.
Neat cargo rack on that Expedition.
Nice, at least your truck’s younger cousin is there for backup if things get a little hairy…(the Expedition). The foreign exchange student gave up his spot at the lunch counter for you when he saw you coming too…respect. (the Toyota)
“Lookit ‘im, cuz – he’s not so brave when we are both here. He’s yella. Ya heer me Ford, yer yella!” 🙂
“Why, yes. Yes I am!” (Snarls) “Ya’ gotta’ problem with that?!”
Nice. Ford Chevy Ford Chevy in a row! The blue ’69-’70 truck especially seems to be in nice condition. Makes me miss my old ’70. Trying to understand what the signs on the doors are for, almost looks like some kind of building, but no words. .
A rose between two thorns?
Nice trucks – ALL of them.
There’s also an 80’s (probably) Chevy or GMC in the back underneath the overhang. Definitely old truck day at the lumber yard!
