There I was, just walking down a mean street in Denver minding my own business, when off to my right behind a chain-link fence, these guys start staring me down…Well, except for the guy on the left, he’s short a few eyeballs.
Here’s a slightly different angle after I half-climbed the fence. The Jeep pickup is now also part of the extended family, but who can identify all of them and are they all Mopar cousins?
The one on the left thinks it’s an Espada.
I spy a late sixties Dart in back of the camper, methinks.
There’s a dart under the cover next to it as well.
Nice lineup ~ I hope you get them un covered soon .

71 Plymouth Satellite, 70’Charger R/T, 72 Charger?
I am with you on the two on the ends, but I peg that middle one as a 66-67 Coronet R/T.
+1 on the 67 R/T (67 is my favorite year)
It’s a Road Runner or possibly a GTX (440 Hood)
71-72.
That first photo is a great shot. Thanks.
Agree. Nice photo. Gives life to them. along with the narrative. A little spooky. Well done.
The Jeep pickup is probably the rarest one in the picture. They’re all related by marriage now.
You have happened upon the den of some hibernating B bodies. Be careful around these, they can be quite fierce when awakened. That one on the right looks ready to charge. 🙂
71 Road Runner, missing a very expensive fender
67 Coronet R/T
71 Charger
67-69 Dart in the back
Jeep J10 pickup
looks like a Barracuda in front of the Jeep
Mopar guys seem to have a tendency to hoard cars like this, with the ahmagunnarestoreitsumday attitude. Where a typical Chevy or Ford guy is content to have one or two nice cars, the Moparites insist on hoarding cars and parts and only let a chosen few in on their stash. Mopar guys are definitely different, lol.
correction, its a 72 Road Runner
Think it has the no-cost 340 engine, too.
Oh, I don’t know about that. I have four Fords from the 60’s and only one Dodge from 1973. I will say the price for a grade 4 Mopar pony car or intermediate, in general, is much higher than those for a comparable Ford out here.
Moparites: a new word in my vocabulary!!
Deserves a page in Wikipedia: “Skewed mine set due to exposure to slant cylinders and torsion bars, with adolescent desire for fuselage body styling. Known to reside in the US and parts of Mexico. Approach with empathy and a socket set”.
Wonder what the equivalent is for Ford and Chevy??;-}
If you think Moparites are bad, you should see the AMC geeks. Similar (since I guess AMC in now included in the Mopar fold) but an AMC geek’s stuff is way more valuable than yours. They are very aware of the rarity of their stuff but don’t know that that doesn’t mean it’s valuable. Makes buying parts for these weird old things very frustrating.
I’m allowed to say this as I’m one of them. I only have one old AMC lying around, but it’s not for sale 🙂
I see this often. People trying to save these treasures, There is some one in oakland that keeps three late 60’s Mopars going. Its a Dodge Sandwich. I know they run because they move them across the street on street cleaning days.
Wow, that’s a nice grouping, I used to live in that general area myself. Great shot!
I would take the Jeep pickup first out of all of them.
Guy down the street has an 80s jeep pickup, also seen a blue 2nd gen econoline at his house sometimes.
Jim – where is that in Denver?
Swansea? South Santa Fe?
Very close to Broadway and 22nd.
Great pictures! Regarding the missing “eyeballs” on the Satellite / Road Runner on the left, I think it’s interesting how many of us attribute a “face” to a car, or anthropomorphize them in some way (self included).
