I’ve shown you the old Chevy house bus and I’ve shown you the three story house. But finding them together made for a terrific combination; old and new, but plenty of similarities.
Their dark gray steel roofs are virtually identical. The wood siding is similar but going different directions. And they both have large front overhangs.
And the biggest similarity is that they were both built by the hands of their respective owners.
What a lovely sight, the old and new together with similar themes.
Is it possible it is the same builder and owner? Or was?
What a perfect pairing though.
No. Never seen the bus here before; usually elsewhere. But kindred spirits, undoubtedly.
Both of those are beautiful. The house to the right looks to be an interesting design as well. What a nice change from seeing McNeighborhoods.
That vehicle would be pretty darn inconvenient in town–overhead stoplights would disappear about a quarter mile away.
I rather suspect it doesn’t spend a lot of time in in-town traffic.
Snapped this a few days ago:
Man, how do you find these? Oh, that’s right, you live in Eugene.
This is superb! I remember your original article on the house and how controversial commenters thought it was. If he/she built both the bus and house you have found a true Renaissance person. I believe we must get the whole story from them. By default it’s got to be very interesting. Aside from yourself I don’t know of anyone else who has completed such a feat.
I like the old Chevy, perfect for my next life as a nomadic truck driver just A frame my car behind it and go.
