A little while back I showed you a Cohort shot of a Mazda pickup with a big Silver Streak trailer. Many of you were very impressed. But that’s nothing compared to what I found on my neighborhood walk with the dog this morning: a vintage Toyota pickup with a tiny house trailer! Wow; this is soooo Eugene. The official pickup of Eugene along with the official hot (not quite) new thing of Eugene, united at last.
Are you even more impressed yet?
How do I top this? With a Camry towing a giant slide-out travel trailer?
Well, the brochure did say something about a roomy, well-equipped cabin…
I dunno, Paul. Didn’t you once write about towing a Bobcat or some similar piece of heavy machinery with a ~100HP Ford F-100? 🙂
As a Toyota truck guy, I would argue that since it‘s a Tacoma, it’s not quite vintage. Getting close though. Wait another two years.
Very cool, Paul. And mighty impressive! Love it!
You live in a strange neighborhood…
Ah yes, a Tacoma Hometaker.
Haven’t seen one of these in years.
When I lived in Maine I once saw a first gen Tacoma towing a 30+ foot lobster boat down route 1. I think he may have been in low range but still impressive.
They should call it Toyota Takehoma
The same Toyota pickup likely gets much harder use in the Third World and they just seem to keep on going.
That would more likely be the world-market Hilux than the North American Tacoma.
