It’s been too long since I found a good outtake on Skinner Butte, one of our common urban hiking destinations, but this watermelon Camry was worthy. I should also note that older Camrys are increasingly becoming the beater car of choice here in Eugene, as the number of older ones edges out old Corollas, due to their greater sales numbers when new.
I’m a sucker for originally-painted cars, whose numbers are unfortunately somewhat in decline.
It doesn’t look seedy at all.
Too bad they couldn’t find a Camry with a red interior.
I knew this Camry would show up here eventually. I walk by it all the time. Big shock: they live in the Whit!
I feel like taking the time to paint the car this way was a seedless exercise.
Dang, and I came here to write that it seems as if Skinner Butte is getting a bit seedy…
Sorry, I hope at this point it’s all watermelon under the bridge.
Pimp my Rind
I think that comes on right after Italian Ice Road Truckers.
“Pimp My Rind” COTD!
I had a few rind-puns in mind but never thought of that gem.
A Camry that looks interesting. There’s a sentence I never expected to type.
Obviously not a lemon.
This generation is still quite common in central Virginia, but the prior “fat” generation cars (1992-96) are gradually disappearing. And yes, a lot of them have attained beater status.
Wow ~ so many puns =8-) .
I like this paint job .

Fantastic paint job/wrap. I love it. Looks very well done with the badges re-done, etc.
