The house doesn’t quite match the Ken Kesey, Eugene art car theme; but then again he did have his “I’m just a regular citizen” period.
Ah, Eugene…thank God that there are still cities that aren’t all suburban nightmarescapes full of Crosstreks and Prius…Pruises?…Priae?
That house looks awfully familiar. Whiteaker neighborhood?
No; it’s just south of 24th, on the East Side. Mostly student rentals there, although not this one, most likely.
I wonder if the bus with the Swamp Thing moniker on it was a nod/tribute to the original Further which was parked in a swamp by Ken Kesey and left for years to rot there.
Here is a PBS video on Kesey and the bus:

You beat me to it. I’m doing a post on Further and this show later this week.
That bus is far too buttoned-down to be a Kesey bus.
I feel sorry for their neighbors.
Why is that, I grew up in places that kind of looked like that and I prefer this over the Brady Bunch.
In this case, the neighbors probably don’t care, from the looks of their place. Mostly just students here, and other rentals.

Well your either on the bus or not on the bus.
Interesting, to say the least. Complete with a teepee framework made out of bamboo.
“…and Hansel and Gretal were never seen again…”
The answer to the question “How do you make one of those Toyotas interesting?”
