The year may be coming to an end but before that happens, it’s COAL and Contributor hunt season again here at CC. So, what are we looking for and what does it take?
Mainly a willingness to share your car stories; from dubious purchases to the rides, breakdowns, and joys attached to them. And this is your chance to tell about them to our CC audience.
As for experience, none is really needed. If you’ve left long comments at CC or elsewhere, you probably already have what it takes. So if you feel ready for the task, make a list of the cars you have in mind and send us an email at curbsideclassic@gmail.com.
We’re also always interested in more than COALs. If you wish to become an occasional contributor and share your insights and car experiences, contact us and let us know what you have in mind.
Writing a COAL can be fun. Take it from me. You don’t need to be a technical wizard, and the writer’s guide will run you through the steps.
And it doesn’t even need to be about YOUR car. It can be your wife’s auntie’s cars. Or your wife’s sister’s husband’s parents’ cars.
So if you’ve ever thought about writing here, just go for it! It’s a blast.
Looking forward to many new articles .

Would you like some DOALs (Designs Of A Lifetime) too?
Sounds interesting. Send us some ideas and pictures at the email given in the post.
Will do!
Oddly enough, a car that stands out for me was my mother’s best friends 76 mustang cobra, her husband is a mechanic to this day and transplanted a built 289 into the little 4 speed car and also painted it a darker shade of blue after she had had it from new after a couple of years. She had to drive a good distance every day from Moss bluff to Ocala every day to her job as an Orthodontist assistant. What impressed me is what a good fast driver she was and little car just never disappointed, she loved it and we,my brother n mother n I did too ,my brother n I were small enough to fit in the little 911esk rear seat and just sat quietly and marveled at how her eyes never left the road and just ran the snot outta that thing 😆. Anyway mom said she always had something that would run from her very first car which was a purple Road Runner, a 383 car ,stick of coarse, fond memories. Thank you all for bringing back so many of those great memories even though some are ahead of my time.
I highly recommend it. I’ve been a bit too busy lately to contribute but I’ll be back at it once my schedule calms down. It’s very fun and certainly more worthwhile than binge watching TV or YouTube.
Sent in a note with a few of the more interesting vehicles in my life.
