For some reason a good number of comments are going straight into the Trash file recently. I have not spotted any obvious reasons. So if your comment doesn’t show up, just please be patient; I’ll eventually find it in there among the real trash, and restore it to its rightful place. Making duplicate comments doesn’t seem to help; I see numerous copies of the same comments in the dumpster.
I can’t always get to them right away, as I have other things to do other than hang out in the dumpster, but eventually…
Is this site working now?
Blame Akismet for the missing comments…

Allow me to post the first comment. And when it gets to the trash, allow it to say hello to my other comments that must be in the trash.
Thanks. I was beginning to think I was screwing up. Yep, I am guilty of duplicates trying to get my posts on the Malibu thread. My apologies.
Think I might have made duplicate comments too. Sorry!
Only time I got a copied duplicate comment to work was changing a bunch of verbiage, otherwise it seems to treat them as spam, which I assume some algorithm treats the original as for some reason. Akismet is weird like that, I’ll get posts made by long time users get caught up in the approval queue in the forum I moderate very often, I have no idea what causes them to get singled out.
Thanks for fishing them out for us, I’ve had much more confidence writing out a longer post knowing it’ll get through eventually in the event it does get trashed, when it first started happening it was so deflating
I was wondering.
And I thought I was being silenced by a digital version of the chloroformed rag over the mouth. Lol
That was my expectation.
Thanks, Paul. Nice to put a face to the CC Contributor that helped me out the other day.
I thought for sure I had offended someone, as it was the post about the modernization of car stereos that morphed into a discussion of screens in cars, pro or con, me being on the pro side of the argument.
When posting, some submissions allow a 15 minute edit time to clean up typos, refresh memory, calm tempers, etc. lol
Meanwhile, other submissions may become instantly “cemented” for eternity.
Any known reason for the difference, or a posting MO to get the edit time?
It could be that you’re not always logged in? When I look, I see at least three different IP addresses for your comments over the last couple of weeks. Different devices/locations/perhaps browsers?
That’s probably it. Thank you.
Yes, I mostly check in as a spare tire opportunist via mobile device, so seldom at a “planted” PC.
Thanks again.
